Controller

The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is the operator named in the Impressum.

The app

Retriever collects nothing. No tracking, no telemetry, no account. The license key is verified offline on your Mac.

Hosting

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you open the site, Cloudflare automatically processes server log data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, referrer URL and user agent. This serves the secure and stable delivery of the website and is based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. A transfer to the USA may occur; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Fonts, cookies, tracking

The site uses the fonts already on your device. No connection to Google Fonts or other third parties. No cookies, no analytics, no tracking or advertising services.

Buying

Stripe processes the payment as merchant of record: your contract partner for the payment, it issues the invoice and takes care of VAT. Stripe receives what a purchase needs: your email address and payment details. We store the purchase email only to deliver and resend the license key. The legal basis is the contract, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics.

If you write to us, we keep the email as long as needed to help you.

Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). An informal message to the contact address in the Impressum is enough. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
